PraxysEHSContractor management

Contractors · Visitors · The lobby

Retire the clipboard. Keep the safety.

PraxysEHS CM gets every contractor and visitor through your door the right way: told about your site, carrying the right cards, and on the list when the alarm goes off. No three-ring binder. No enterprise price tag.

Opening soon, with 30 days free on one site. We'll email you the day it opens. Free for every contractor, forever. For sites in the United States.

How it usually goes

You already have a contractor process. It lives in three places.

The lobby binder

Last entry: a squiggle, 7:02 AM.

Here to see "Bob." Signed out? Nobody knows. Neither does the fire department.

The training cards

"It's in my truck."

The truck is in Toledo. The card expired in 2023. The lift is already running.

The insurance certificate

Saved as COIs_FINAL_v2.

In a shared folder only Linda can open. It ran out in March. Linda retired in April.

None of that is anyone's fault. It's just how it's always been done. There's a simpler way, and it fits on a tablet.

How it works

Four steps. The first one takes about two minutes.

1

Invite the company

Type their name, the dates and the work. They get a link. That's your part.

2

Their crew gets ready from home

Each worker watches your site video and adds their training cards, on their own phone, before day one.

3

They sign in at your tablet

Ready? In they go, and you get a heads-up by email, Teams or Slack. Not ready? The tablet says "not yet," politely, and tells you why.

4

You always know who's here

Who's on site, who they're with, and what's about to run out. Alarm goes off? You have a list, not a guess.

What your contractors see

No app. No account. No fee.

Each worker gets their own link from their own company. It opens on any phone and says exactly what your site needs from them, in plain words. Nothing to download, nothing to remember.

  • Your site's induction, on their phone, before day one
  • A photo of each training card, checked by your team
  • A reminder before a card runs out

Done? They type their phone number at your tablet, and they're in.

See it from their side

Paper · People · Places

Three questions. Asked before the work starts, not after it goes wrong.

A simple way to check you've covered your bases with everyone who comes through the door.

Paper

Is it on record?

Approvals, insurance, training cards, and every sign-in and sign-out, dated and kept for five years. In case anyone asks. Someone always asks.

People

Do they know how you work?

Your safety talk and your standards, before day one, with a short quiz to prove it landed.

Places

Do they know what they're walking into?

The loud rooms, the roped-off doors, the gear each area needs, and where the muster point is.

And on the way out: what did we learn?

Workers say whether anything happened today. The crew tells you how your site worked for them. Every answer comes to you, not the binder, and points at the paper, people or place to fix before the next crew arrives.

Same three questions as PraxysEHS: CM asks them before the work starts, our incident analysis tool asks them after something goes wrong.

What you get

The look and feel of the big systems. None of the procurement meetings.

01

Cards that remind you, not the other way around

Forklift, aerial lift, confined space, first aid. Each one keeps its own clock and nudges people before it runs out.

02

A front desk that never has to say no

The tablet says "not yet" and shows exactly what's missing, so nobody argues with the receptionist.

03

Visitors with an escort, when they need one

Tours and interviews get a person assigned. Meetings in the office don't.

04

A headcount when the alarm sounds

One tap, and everyone checking at the muster point works from the same list.

A tool for whoever runs the front door

No setup project, and no safety background needed. A plant manager at one site and a safety manager across ten follow the same steps and see the same records. Never managed contractors before? It explains every step as you go.

  • Plant or warehouse manager
  • Safety manager, one site or ten
  • Front desk that runs the lobby
  • Facilities manager
  • Owner who wears every hat
  • Purchasing, who just wants the insurance date

Who it's not for:

  • Sites where the evacuation headcount is "Yep, looks like everybody."
  • Anyone who enjoys a six-month software rollout. (Setup takes minutes. Sorry.)
  • Companies that like paying per visitor. We'd hate to take that away from you.

Who it IS for: everybody else.

Your records

Your records are yours. Not ours, and definitely not for sale.

You own it

Everything your team, your tablets and your contractors put in belongs to you. Not to us.

Never for sale

We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or keep a contractor directory to rent out on the side.

Kept when it counts

Sign-ins, inductions and card checks are kept at least five years, and nobody can quietly delete them early.

Take it with you

Download it anytime as spreadsheets. If you leave, it stays readable for 12 months, and we email you before anything is deleted.

The details are in our privacy policy, in plain words.

Why we built it

Contractor safety shouldn't need a procurement department.

Contractors don't know your site. Not the muster point, not the roped-off door, not that the press room needs earplugs. That isn't carelessness. Nobody told them. Telling them, and proving you did, is most of the job.

We don't grade your contractors. Purchasing already approved them, probably with a stack of forms. We cover what comes after: the parking lot to the job, and back out again. And there's no skip button, because "not yet" at the front desk beats "we'll sort it out later."

Questions

Will it work at my site?

Does it handle visitors too?

Yes. Visitors sign in at the same tablet, read your safety rules for the visit, and their host gets a heads-up. They're on the headcount list too.

What tablet do I need?

Any iPad or Android tablet 10 inches or bigger, with a locking stand and Wi-Fi. Use as many as you like, at no extra charge.

How long does setup take?

Adding a site takes a few minutes. Then add your induction (a video, or your slides as a PDF) and invite your first contractor company. Their crew does the rest from their own phones.

Will my contractors actually do it?

It's free for them, it takes a few minutes on their own phone, and the tablet won't let anyone skip it. Most crews would rather do it at home than in your lobby.

Questions about price? The pricing page answers them.

Swap the binder for a tablet.

From $95 to $125 a site per month. Unlimited contractors and visitors. Bring your own tablets, as many as you like.
